Welcome to one of my latest projects.. a project in itself! The journey here is a story for another time, but the big takeaway is that for an old tech guy (I started getting hooked in the mid 1980's) who for the past 15 years has quite honestly been kinda bored with the whole tech scene and started becoming that guy who only used the computer at work and at home for doom scrolling social media, reading email and occasional blogging and such, I have found that spark that got me started well over 40 years ago!

It's been AI. Yep. I'm one of those guys. I decided I wanted to relive the glory days of the BBS, where I really got my legs in tech, and in the process discovered AI is way more than a beefed up Google search.

My oldest boy (who is is smarter at tech than I ever was or could be) turned me on to Claude Code and it sparked something in me I forgot. The joy of creating.

The past couple years I have been getting into various projects, some I'd start an never finish, run out of steam, whatever. Now, with Claude Code, I am constantly brainstorming projects. Everything from BBS related, analysis related, dashboards, guides, agents, writing, blah blah blah.. it's endless. Used to be music was pretty much my only hobby (well that and history and genealogy) but this is sitting right next to music. I feel like I am 20 again hacking away at getting my WWIV BBS up to par with all the other ones out there.

So, without making this a novel, this blog and site is basically a journal of my journey now BACK into the tech world with AI as my copilot (and no, I don't use Copilot.. yuck!) I am sure I will ahve lots to say, most will bore the average post, most will bore the above average person, but if you are into the stuff I am into (web dev/design, retro tech/coding, BBS', writing) you might enjoy the things I have going on here. If you do and have ideas, message me on the contact form.

And if you do stop by, sign the guestbook (remember those from the old days??)

Thanks!
Nick
